Description
A single cask bottling of well-aged single malt from the Glengoyne Distillery, selected by three generations of the Ian Macleod Distillers owners. They picked out a cracking cask, a refill sherry butt that aged the whisky for an impressive 36 years. The whisky was bottled with an outturn of only 402 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Light strawberry and lime sherbet, gentle mint, lemon meringue pie, stewed apples, coconut, sweet cinnamon and leather.
Palate
Silky and rich, creamy with a charming dustiness with tropical fruits, dried banana chips and chocolate cherry.
Finish
Rich gently sherried and spicy.
