    Single Malt

    Glengoyne 25 Year Old

Introduced in early 2014, this is a 25 year old single malt from the Glengoyne distillery - an addition to their core range. The Highlands distillery uses unpeated malt for this whisky, which is then matured for a quarter of a century in Sherry casks.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Big notes of sherry-soaked fruit up front - raisins, figs and oranges. This is followed by wafts of toasted almonds and classic notes of old leather.

    Palate

Vanilla and dark chocolate open up the palate. Sherry comes through yet again, but this time in the shape of rich, well spiced fruit cake. Hints of orange and oak round it off.

    Finish

The finish lasts with notes of red fruits and cracked black pepper.

    Overall

A very easy dram to get lost in, to take your time with on every step.

    Just wonderful.

Sitting in front of an old film, loved one by my side, the refined warmth of this dram completes and complements the scene perfectly. Expensive and so something to be savoured rather than knocked back. Just bear in mind Macallan 25 year old sherry oak in three times the price - no contest!

    Really long finish

The nose is a warm welcome. The flavor is intense and complex, triggering all the senses your palette has - and the finish is really, long. As said by others here; this is a BIG whisky and if you want to celebrate a special occasion, or just reward yourself on a cold evening - this whisky will take care of it. I recommend you to try it wit some dark chocolate and a cup of Yirgacheffe coffee.

Flawless, the thickest richest sherry I've ever tried. Highly recommended.

    Wow!

48% and you wouldn't know it! Hard to find a fault with this one. Lovely nose, rich palate with a loooooong finish! Lovely!

Hi there! As far as we can tell, this is a worldwide release as part of their core range, so no exclusivity to speak of. Hope that helps! --The Chaps at Master of Malt
