Originally released for the Travel Retail market, Glengoyne 25 Year Old The First Fill is matured in (as the name suggests) first fill Sherry casks which were hand selected. Huge Sherry-cask influence on this one...
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Maple syrup, cocoa and a whole heap of juicy raisins.
Palate
Becomes nutty on the palate, with dried fruit and chocolate supporting notes of almond and walnut.
Finish
More chocolate, now with a little bit of caramel. Flamed orange peel develops later.
