Glengoyne 19yo TBWC Bottling Note

A 19 year old single malt here from the brilliant Glengoyne distillery, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Glengoyne has a long history, dating back to 1833 - but it hasn't always been known as Glengoyne. Back in the good ol' days it was called... Well, the label hints towards the name. Those walkers are burning their feet on the road...

Batch 2 is a release of 1,009 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dry, roasted spice, creamy Walnut Whip and milk chocolate provide the backdrop to fruit cake, marmalade and thick treacle. An autumnal forest floor note develops along with bourbon vanilla, toasted oak and dried black cherries.

Palate: Gentle and mature, the palate begins with soft dark fruit, Seville orange and warm gingerbread spiciness. Resinous wax, sweet florals and red chilli pepper heat add interesting depth. Big chewy toffee notes are present throughout.

Finish: Prunes, stewed plums and oak spice remain.

Overall: Remarkable, refined and very stylish stuff from Glengoyne.

Reviews for Glengoyne 19 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
Stunning
I purchased the 19yo Glengoyne as part of the Black Friday offers. I have a great friend who regularly comes and has a coffee with me, armed with doughnuts. At midday the beverage is changed to whisky - he drinks his neat, whereas I always add water. We were both delighted and enthusiastic for this whisky - in all aspects thoroughly enjoyable - no harshness from the time it is taken into the mouth until the last stages of flavour after swallowing.
I have had a good talk with the four archangels and requested that an email be sent to all angels to make my property out of bounds!
