Glengoyne
Scotland
Single Malt
An older edition of Glengoyne's 15-year-old single malt, produced before its bottles underwent a redesign in 2020. This is a rich, rounded single malt, completely devoid of peat smoke thanks to air-drying the barley. It is aged in both bourbon and first-fill sherry casks, with some refill cask whisky thrown in for good measure.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
OK, so this is BY FAR, the best whisky of my recent order. This feels and tastes as one would expect of a younger version of my ATF, Glengoyne 21 YO. This dram is a great value, a great palate and the finish is rich and evokes the oaky goodness of all things Glengoyne!
15 y.o. scotch, that for the price can be your everyday drink. Nice floral nose followed by spicy, sweet, fruity palate.
was bought the Glengoyne 15 year old for my 70th birthday just opened tonight and wow what lovely smooth tasting whisky I shall savour it
A wonderful whisky and almost a five star for me. It has a heavy/oily mouthfeel, a truly smooth flavor, and an aroma (of shortbread, hay, and brown sugar). I can nose this stuff for a long time so the aroma is my favorite part though I also enjoy the malty sweet flavor.
Really good scotch. Easy to drink and has great flavors especially if you're introducing someone to single malts. Has a great sweet flavor with prominent apple coming through. Nice thick, oily feel and has a great finish which is actually similar to laphroaig 15 (just the creamy oily finish). Definitely a good one and for the price point at this age you simply can't pass it up.
