Very decent whisky. It has lovely nose and very fresh taste. One of my favourites in this price range. Better than 15yo IMHO.
This is a seriously good whisky, it's not the most challenging of whiskies and it might not immediately strike you as a particularly outstanding malt but after a couple of drams you soon learn to appreciate its quality. There's a lot sweetness whilst at the same time incredibly clean & fresh with a good bit of sherry cask influence coming through. It's bursting with complex fruity flavours with a touch of fudge/butterscotch. The palette is every bit as good as the nose, it's so smooth, the flavour coats the mouth and the finish goes on and on, truly wonderful stuff.
Seen the distillery, proved it's fine, bought. A fine whiskey, also for those who don't like whiskey at all... (due to the "smoke") ;-)
