Single Malt
Glengoyne
Scotland

A fabulously sherried single malt from Glengoyne, matured predominantly in first fill European oak sherry casks for 21 long years. Its time in the cask has bestowed upon it lovely rich fruity notes with an exceptionally long finish. This fantastic whisky was winner of a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2018. Impressive stuff.
Punchy oak, potpourri, cranberries, raspberries, a little malt and figs on the nose.
Richly sherried. Everything is tangy and spiced - molasses, hot apple cider, Christmas pudding with flaming brandy and a touch of cracked black peppercorns.
Ends with Oloroso and sweet malt.

Pitted fruits and gingery spices, marvelously married. Smooth yet complex.
Not to my taste
Matured in sherry for all of it's life. That's rare and delicious
I read a review saying that the 17 year old was better and that I should ignore the 21-year old. Having tasted it I can only say that that review was wrong. The 21-year old is too different to compare. The 17-year old is smooth and easy to drink. The 21-year old is a lot more warm and complex, a bit too much oak and a bit dry, but if you like that, then it is perfect. /Joakim
...17y is good, but this one is worth the extra money! WONDERFUL!
