A delicious dram, one of our favourites, it exudes effortless balance and, despite its strength, goes down with the greatest of ease. At 21 years, this single malt from Glengoyne exudes loads of character, the sherry notes are evident beautifully.
The nose is of medium body with a richness. There are notes of oaked spice and barley sugar with cereals and dried ropes. Notes of cut hay and manuka honey. The palate is thick and rich. The sherry is in evidence as it seeps into the oak and dried peels and chewy sultanas. There are notes of fruitcake with winter spice and acacia honey. The finish is long and oaked.
