Glengoyne 36 Year Old 1969
A 36 year old from Glengoyne, distilled in 1969 and matured in a refill sherry hogshead.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
The nose is quite fresh and of good body. There are notes of marzipan and fudge, hints of stewed apples and a biscuity note. Hints of honeyed peels and juicy sugared orange. The palate is of good body with exquisite balance. There are notes of marmalade and tangy citrus with honey and a touch of salinity, notes of bitter oak and chewy exotic fruit salad. The finish is long with a developing oak.
