This Glenglassaugh was distilled almost half a century ago, just after the distillery was reopened in the early sixties. Glenglassaugh has been closed and re-opened three times in its history so the opportunity to try some of this whisky between closures is always exciting.
Bursting with sweet juicy plums, blueberries and strawberries, followed by flint and toasted oak.
Fat and juicy, oozing with red berry compote, liquorice and a little chilli
Dry and salty with lingering blackcurrant and liquorice.
