A brilliant addition to the Glenglassaugh range unveiled in late 2017 as part of the Wood Finishes series, this Port cask-finished Highland single malt boasts oodles of jammy fruit and chocolate notes. Fun note: this series is the first time that Glenglassaugh have released cask-finished whisky!
Ginger snaps, good stout ale, wafts of baking bread.
Brandied cherries, heather, damson and a touch of green apple sharpness.

Glenglassaugh Port finish. 46% and very nice indeed. I do like glenglassaugh. Toffee and spices on nose and a bit of wild berries and orange initially on palate, followed by some oak, raspberry and rare spices. Good longish finish with blackcurrant and spices again to see it out. Lovely slight pink colour too. Mouthfeel is pleasent too and it gets a bit fruitier as it airs off. struth
