Distilled at Glenglassaugh in 2018, this single malt spent the next eight years maturing in an unusually active refill hogshead. Showcasing a remarkable level of maturity and richness for its eight years, bottled at 57.1% ABV (aka 100 proof), this whisky joins the Decadent Drams collection from indie bottler Decadent Drinks.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Richly oily, coastal, waxy, spicy and satisfying. Lots of sandalwood, camphor, pollen, sea air, mineral oil, strop leather and crystalised fruits.
Palate
Honey infused with spices, vibes of cask aged mead and old Drambuie. Also drier aspects such as pollens, mineral salts, grassy olive oil and camphor. Big, waxy texture and lovely natural sweetness.
Finish
Long, peppery, oily, waxy and with herbal teas and mead.
