Glenglassaugh 7 Year Old 2014 (cask 101) - The Cooper's Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.)
Distilled in May 2014, this glorious Glenglassaugh joins the Cooper's Choice collection from indie bottler The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. The single malt was matured in American oak, before spending a finishing period in a single Banyuls dessert wine barrique until bottling in 2021, with a total outturn of 312 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Smoky barley, zesty blossom, and earthy oak balance sweet caramel and vanilla.
Palate
Sweet raisins and sultanas, boozy trifle, silky honey, and a whiff of tropical pineapple follow orange zest, dried herbs, and rich, spicy oak.
Finish
Smouldering ash, a touch of leather with sweet toffee, salted chocolate and waxy citrus.
