42 year old single malt finished in a Massandra Aleatico Hogshead, 175 bottles were filled in September 2015. Part of Glenglassaugh's second batch of Rare Cask releases, this whisky was distilled in April 1973.
Nose: Sweet red fruits, gentle spice and a subtle hint of rose water. Palate: Delicious raspberry jam balanced with hints of rich sloe berry, ginger biscuits and gentle floral spice.
Sweet and gentle. Very delicate. Simply superb.
