Glenglassaugh 41 Year Old 1967 - Rare Cask Series
Distilled in 1967, this is a truly sublime, incredibly rare single cask whisky from the Glenglassaugh distillery. It was aged for 41 years before bottling at natural cask strength. It comes in a smart, satin-lined wooden box with a pair of cut crystal glasses and a certificate of ownership.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rich notes of Christmas Pudding with brandy butter. Hints of allspice, dessert sherry, dry spices, hints of mixed herbs and cigar leaves.
Palate
Thick palate entry with butterscotch and dried mixed peels. Candied orange rind, allspice, Christmas spice and custard.
Finish
Long, hugely complex, spiced finish with red berries and malt.
Overall
Beautifully complex - a real gem.
