A Càrn Mòr bottling of Glenglassaugh, distilled in December 1972, long before the distillery closed for over 20 years in 1986. During that tumultuous time for Glenglassaugh, this whisky slumbered in a single sherry butt, up until January 2013, when it was bottled for the Celebration of the Cask series, with an outturn of just 200 bottles.
Delicate, smooth vanilla and a hint of smoke. Long and complex. Thoroughly pleasant but less rich and sherried than you'd expect.
