38 year old single malt from Glenglassaugh, presented as part of their Rare Cask Release Batch 3 - which featured only whiskies aged over 30 years! This single malt was distilled in October 1978 and bottled in November 2016 following a finishing period in a Pedro Ximenéz Sherry puncheon, resulting in 722 bottles.
Gentle cedar wood, honeycomb, red summer fruits and a hint of rich marmalade.
Fresh red grape, ripe gooseberry, a dusting of muscovado sugar and delicate orange blossom.
Bought this for my bday and didnt disappoint. Loved it!!
