Bourbon
This is a staggering single cask Glenglassaugh, selected by Mhairi McDonald for the Chosen Few range. It was distilled in October 1978 and aged for 33 years in a bourbon barrel. There are just 275 individually numbered bottles.
Soft notes of charred oak and peppermint. The bourbon influence is surprisingly subdued. A little dried herb note, hints of honey.
Fermented honey and biscuity malt. Cinnamon and gingerbread. Clove oil, vanilla and dry sherry.
Medium-finish. Herbs de Provence.

Hi there! We had a look into this, and both the bottle and this article (http://www.whiskymag.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18218) mention a bourbon barrel maturation. --The Chaps at Master of Malt
