Released as a Travel Retail exclusive alongside two other Glenfiddich Cask Collection bottlings, the Reserve Cask focusses on the Sherried side of this Speyside distillery's output. This rich, handsomely sweet expression is matured in Spanish Sherry casks before being married in a Solera vat.
This is a 1 litre bottling.
Waxy peels, marmalade and Christmas-y clove warmth. Vanilla, raisin and a touch of dark chocolate.
Christmas spice up front, joined by fresh lemon, chewy barley, almonds and a little old oak.
Long, with a good balance of sweet citrus and oak spices.
After taking the 1st sip, everyone's mood changed. Everyone got excited about how good this was. Loved the sweet fruitiness that the sherry provides. It literally brightened up the room. Very glad I bought this, will have to keep my eye open for another
Excellent whisky
Let me start by saying Glenfiddich is my go-to Scotch, I love its palate. This Reserve Sherry cask is in my book Glenfiddich's best in my opinion. The flavors are so smooth and refreshing. I really love it I just wish I could get it off the shelf here in the US. - Don Sundberg
Smooth as water yet feels like drinking
