Glenfiddich 50 Year Old

Glenfiddich 50 Year Old Bottling Note

50 year old single malt from one of the most well-respected Scotch whisky distilleries - Glenfiddich. This extraordinarily well-aged expression was drawn from a pair of casks which slumbered the extensive Glenfiddich warehouses for half a century, and married together for six months in an American oak barrel by Malt Master Brian Kinsman. It comes presented in hand-blown bottles alongside an aptly decadent presentation case. Frighteningly rare and exciting.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose: A beautifully harmonious with an uplifting, vibrant and complex aroma. Delicate floral notes (rose petals and violets) are intriguingly intertwined with green tobacco leaf and oak and just a faint hint of smoke.

Palate: Initially very sweet with a zesty orange marmalade and vanilla toffee, which then cascades through a wonderful series of layers: aromatic herbs, floral and soft fruits, silky oak tannin and hints of gentle smoke.

Finish: Exceptionally long with a touch of dry oak and the merest trace of peat.

Glenfiddich 50 Year Old Reviews

Dr. Sasha

It was a dark wet late May afternoon when my brother inlaw duke of old Woodmere, doctor of far rockians corked this fine whisky. Oh I do remember it well, the color, the scent, the taste. ‘‘Tis was the finest whisky of them all we cheered as we wept, knowing we would never enjoy such a splendor of taste again”.

However if you have money and dont know how to spend it what do you expect. The bible says why spend money on what is not food

Waste of money.

Expensive

I'm in with fine! Never tried it! $26000 bucks for liquor? Are you sure you're not drinking something else? Sorry, can't get over the price. The description makes me think it has a very particular taste, so either you buy it because you can't get away from the taste, or have the money to satisfy.

Supper!!

Happened to be in England a few years back, traveling with a friend whose Aunt had married into a Titled Family. On the first night of our visit with them, the Lord of the Manor pulled out a bottle of this special whisky for me try with him. He poured a finger or so into a couple of large crystal rock glasses, and we went through the usual rigs of swirl, sniff, and slip. Outstanding to say the least. I had not realized that this Scotch was 50 years old. At the time it was almost double my age.
I still remember that night, and the whisky was Fantastic!!, that was 1983 would love to try it again.

Great whiskey

Truely the most amazing whisky that’s ever torched my lips. The flavor reminded me of the smell of fall from when I was a kid growing up in the south of France.

Average, at 1/800th the price.

Any gain over a stock bottle of Johnnie Walker lends itself purely to the placebo of the taster.

Excellent

I personally receive 3 bottles from Glenfiddich every year. It has notes of toffee, smoke, and opulence. Great value, highly recommended!
