Sorry about this...

We can't actually ship Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera to the United States at the moment (although we're working hard to fix that).

In the meantime, our friends over at The Whisky Shop might be able to help you out.

Glenfiddich 15 Solera Bottling Note

A 15 year old matured in American bourbon, Portuguese sherry and virgin oak. The whisky was then married in a Solera vat. This is a great staple 15 year old from the Glenfiddich distillery.

Nose: Sherry, citrus - orange in particular, dry wood. Slight suggestion of smoke?

Palate: Medium, Sherry, raisins. Fruitcake, spices, sweetness.

Finish: Candied fruits, raisins, spices, Christmas pudding, oak takes over.

Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera Reviews

OK but nothing about it stands out

Got this in a Glenfiddich tasting box - its OK, I’ve had more interesting whiskeys at this price point but it was enjoyable enough. Wont be buying a full bottle.

Quite good

A very good scotch, one of the best "big sellers" IMHO

Top 3

One of my top 3 favs out of the 25 single malts I've tried, mabey bunnahabain 12 and oban 14 join that list with it. It edges the Glenlivet 15 but also a banger. Lots of snobs on here, whiskey is all taste preference. You're preference doesn't rule the day or decide what others like.

The best

Just divine

Middle of the Road

This is a middle of the road commercial bottling, a capable and enjoyable casual drink without memorable characteristics. For the reviewer below who thinks experienced whisky drinkers won’t be able to pick this out in a blind tasting is kidding himself. No one is comparing Glenfiddich 15 to some over-priced “rare and old” bottles which are in most cases marketing gimmicks anyway. However when compared to many of the “mid entry-level”sherried whiskies of similar price from other distilleries, this is at best right down in the middle.

Would love to see the below reviewers feelings in a blind tasting

Glenfiddich gets a lot of flak for being so big and prominent in so many markets, but there is a reason they are so prominent: THEY MAKE AMAZING WHISKY.
I would love to see how this would compare in a blind tasting to those other "oh no e-150" and "it's non chill filtered and bottled at 46%" Distilleries Whisky snobs usually hang on the balls of.
I get it some other distilleries are doing things a little bit different and more transparent but it still doesn't ensure your product is better.
I've sampled some very rare and old Scotch and Irish Whiskeys that were thin and horrible.
With Glenfiddich you will always get the same product thru and thru, and that consistency is commendable. If you are oh-so-wise then maybe go and read the story of Glenfiddich and realize the marketing forethought and genius of one man guaranteed this distillery an international following and market share second to very few others out there.

Good dram, recommended for your collection.

I’ve had this bottle (opened) for a little over a year now. It is an enjoyable dram, I’m preferring the 2nd half of the bottle - more flavor, for whatever reason. On the nose, candied fruit and definitely cherry. The sherry influence shines through, a bit of a dry mouthfeel (different to that of the 12 yo), but pleasant taste with all spice quite evident. A lingering, slightly peppery finish.

typical middle of the road Glenfiddich

I've never understood why Glenfiddich sell so much whisky..I find it a bit meh.I tried this 15 yo Solera hoping to find something special.while you can taste the sherry influence,I just find it like the other Glenfiddichs but with a sherry influence. It wasn't unpleasant, just middle of road, spicy with nothing particularly bad and nothing particularly exceptional. Its a safe middle of the road whisky, perhaps thats why you can get it everywhere. It must be popular or they wouldn't shift it..I personally find it a bit boring.

Great taste

Nice smooth taste, half the bottle was gone n no time. Wouldn’t drink it regularly at that price but a nice dram!

A bit average

Perfectly pleasant but without being anything distinctive. I'd sooner go for the 12yr old over this.
