Glenfiddich 15 Solera Bottling Note

A 15 year old matured in American bourbon, Portuguese sherry and virgin oak. The whisky was then married in a Solera vat. This is a great staple 15 year old from the Glenfiddich distillery.

Worth the money
Love this one a true upgrade to the 12yr, I’m never one to be able to taste all the fruits, fresh bread, toffee, coffee, banoffee and unicorns but this bottle has loads of flavour (I drink my whisky with a drop of water) I’d say buy it for the money which isn’t a life changing amount your get a very addictive tasty bottle

A disappointing experience
My brother bought me a bottle recently for my 70th birthday, obviously not from here. I have to say, very sadly that it is best avoided. I like 12 year old Glenfiddich, I even went to the distillery to find their Distillery Edition and had to return it only to find that the replacement was also tainted. I don't know what is going on but for the moment, I recommend staying with the 12 year old.

Fine not fantastic
Grand drink but, in my opinion, not as good as the 18 by quite a bit. I'll save up and stick to the 18.

Tastes OK, even pleasant, but it's not Glenfiddich. Never imagined Glenfiddich would go fru-fru.

More like a spiced rum
I can taste the fruit, and lots of it, but anyone claiming this is smooth has to be lying to themselves to justify the money they spent on it. There's an absurd amount of burn for how long it has been matured. I coughed, it was not good. It's more like a spiced rum than a Scotch to me, which would be great if I was looking for a very expensive spiced rum, but I wasn't. I've had smoother bottom shelf bottles from the supermarket that cost less than a third of this. To each their own but the 12 is far better in my opinion, and very easy to drink, if not a bit boring.

OK but nothing about it stands out
Got this in a Glenfiddich tasting box - its OK, I’ve had more interesting whiskeys at this price point but it was enjoyable enough. Wont be buying a full bottle.

Quite good
A very good scotch, one of the best "big sellers" IMHO
