The final release in the Glenfarclas Family Collector Series is this 40 year old single malt, matured in Sherry casks from 1976 to May 2016. As with the previous releases in the series, this one honours a member of the Grant family - this times, it's George S. Grant, Sales Director and part of the 6th generation of the family, who was born in 1976 (the same year the casks used in this bottling were filled!). A release of 1,500 bottles.
Thinking I wish I could get my hands on a bottle of the Glenfarclas 40 year old 1976 scotch whiskey !
I've recently been bought a bottle as a gift and it looks beautiful in its posh box. I'll tell you what it tastes like when I have a grandchild in about 20-30 years.
