The team at Glenfarclas marked the beginning of the new millennium on January 1st 2000 by filling a selection of special casks with the first new make of the new year, setting them aside to enjoy a long and peaceful maturation. This single malt was drawn from one of those very casks – a first-fill sherry butt which was cracked open in 2024.
