“Bought a liter of this last week and just cracked it open. On the nose was sherry and oak. The palate revealed burnt toffee, chocolate, citrus zest, and that oak. Long, malty finish, with oak and toffee. After water, there was turpentine on the nose (the Chaps above said “pine resin”, so maybe that’s what I was detecting ?), and stewed prunes. This is a very good quality, and affordable daily dram whisky! ”

Delicious single malt from Speyside's Glenfarclas distillery, aged for a dozen years before making its way into the bottles. Dig in to rich Sherried malt and earthy allspice notes.

This is a 1 litre bottling.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Light and creamy with a mix of supple, soft sherry and Manuka honey. Gentle and well-balanced, there are hints of smoke, rich oak, and a little pine resin.

Palate

Medium-bodied, with notes of date and walnut cake, Oloroso sherry and hints of earthy forest floor. A beautiful note of malt, with toffee apple and a touch of smoke.

Finish

Spicy and long, notes of allspice, cinnamon and cloves, with orange zest and sherry.
