Glenfarclas 105 20 Year Old
A limited edition 20-year-old release of the much-adored Glenfarclas 105 single malt – around double its usual age, and still bottled at a mighty 60% ABV.
This bottle was part of a private collection and may show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Massive Christmas cake notes with flesh dried fruits and demerara sugar.
Palate
Surprisingly smooth and sweet for a 60%abv whisky with delicious notes of chocolate and spice with fruit and Cognac flavours emerging with the addition of water.
Finish
The finish is long, no doubt thanks to the additional ageing, with typical winter spice notes.
Overall
A great high strength and aged Glenfarclas, this is a fascinating progression from the standard bottling.
