Surprisingly smooth and sweet for a 60%abv whisky with delicious notes of chocolate and spice with fruit and Cognac flavours emerging with the addition of water.
The finish is long, no doubt thanks to the additional ageing, with typical winter spice notes.
A great high strength and aged Glenfarclas, this is a fascinating progression from the standard bottling.
