This was distilled in 1961, and aged in a single sherry hogshead (cask 1326), this was bottled in 2010 as part of Glenfarclas's incredible Family Cask range, spanning over half a century of whisky. Expect oodles of character!
Nose: Espresso beans, pepper and rich sherry tones. A heavy dusting of cocoa, with butterscotch and crème caramel.
Palate: Bittersweet, with intensely rich Oloroso sherry. Date and walnut cake, and heavy notes of cold coffee.
Finish: Very long - hot embers on a fire, with cinnamon, vanilla latte, prunes and smoke.
