Lots of sherry and fruit in this, Glenfarclas 12 was originally bottled for export and travel retail markets. In 2006, it was named the "Best Sherried Whisky" in the Single Malt World Cup, and in 2007 and 2008 it won Gold at the Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival.
Light and creamy with a mix of supple, soft sherry and Manuka honey. Gentle and well-balanced, there are hints of smoke, rich oak, and a little pine resin.
Medium-bodied, with notes of date and walnut cake, Oloroso sherry and hints of earthy forest floor. A beautiful note of malt, with toffee apple and a touch of smoke.
Spicy and long, notes of allspice, cinnamon and cloves, with orange zest and sherry.

Very good, not too intense, but flavorful, refreshing, sherry sweet, zesty, spicy, with a nice and neat finish. For the sherried malt lovers!
Can't find a sherried 12 year better for the price. Nose: Lots of dried fruit (prunes?), sweet sherry. Palate: Very simple at first, but gets better with every sip and every drink, a little smoky, just perfect (and I'm not a fan of peated). Finish: nice and spicy! This is a really great malt for the price, something to keep in the house! Great to share
Great dram, complex and youthful at the same time a great dram. Also have 15.17,21, 25 yo expressions and there all good toss up between this and 25 to to fav but at 35 a pop waitrose now stock the 12 and m&s the 10 you can afford to try this One a little more often....
Glenmorangie meets Highland Park, but with a more pleasant overall nose and taste than both. Sweet with slight peat, and a complexity that I haven't yet found to rival. Best I've had so far.
This 12 year old expression is big and bold; It is not gentle and elegant. Thanks to the largest pot stills in Scotland, Glenfarclas is robust with lots of rich vanilla, honey and cream. There is just enough wood and spice to balance its unapologetic flavors. This is my favorite 12 year old whisky!
