I’ve read lots of banging on about Sherry in whisky but this is the first one I can actually taste it in. Smooth, sweet with the smallest touch of smoke. Makes me want to taste the more aged varieties from this distillery.
The very first Whisky i had tried for about 25 odd years, i am not normally a Whisky drinker by any means so my Review will be fairly basic. I tried Glenfarcas 10 on the advice of a customer in an Edinburgh Whisky Shop. He said Whisky is a matter of taste and it tasted really nice for me. A slight sweetness and a pleasant nose and none of the after heat associated with blended Whisky i have tried in the past. Left a lasting pleasant aftertaste... i liked it so much i got a bottle to bring home.
Nice 10 yr old Glenfarclas..with nice toffeed flavours...nice taste for a 10 yr old.Recommended as with all Glenfarclas.
I've only had one glass of this, but it's a bit sweet for me. It wasn't expensive, so I don't feel too badly about it, but I probably won't buy it again. I'm sure I'll have the bottle around for guests, since I probably won't have it often myself. Perhaps if I'm in the mood for dessert?
Nose: sweet sherry and malty, honey Palate: light, sherry sweetness and malty Finish: medium and smooth Would buy again...
