From the Glendullan distillery in Dufftown comes a 1999 vintage single malt Scotch whisky, matured in first fill bourbon barrels and refill Sherry hogsheads. Gordon & MacPhail bottled it in 2013 and brought it into their Connoisseurs Choice selection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Bustling with vanilla and pear. Rather nutty, too.
Palate
Brazil nuts, more vanilla and a pinch of menthol develops.
Finish
Continued vanilla notes.
Overall
The first fill bourbon barrels had quite an affect on this one.
