The GlenDronach 26 Year Old 1992 (cask 221)
Another excellent batch of GlenDronach single casks have arrived! This release from batch 17 is a 26 year old expression, matured in a single Oloroso sherry butt from June 1992 to 2019. Just a small outturn of 443 bottles for this one.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Layer of Oloroso appear with toasted oak, butterscotch and crème brûlée, cherry stone and earthy bramble. Traces of orange blossom and balsam lift and lengthen with each breath.
Palate
Sip plum in dark caramel, baked apple and cinnamon, as layers of sherry cask sweetness are released on the palate. Savour dates, orange peel and caramelised walnut.
