Sherry
25 year old single malt from the ever-dependable GlenDronach distillery, released as part of their 16th batch of single cask bottlings. This one was distilled in May 1992 and set aside to age in a sherry butt for quarter of a century, until it was bottled in 2017. A release of 636 bottles.
Fruit and nut chocolate with stewed fruit and oiled oak dipped in crème brulee.
Unctuous walnut oil and chewy sultanas become nut loaf. A wave of sherry and tangy baked orange leaves hazelnut chocolate into the finish.
