The GlenDronach 21 Year Old - Parliament

A 21 year old Glendronach released in 2011, and aged in a mix of sherry casks (Oloroso and sweet Pedro Ximenez dessert sherry). The result is really very good indeed. Interestingly enough, this whisky has no political associations. It is, in fact, named "Parliament" after the collective term for a group of rooks - and there is a Parliament of Rooks living in the trees near GlenDronach...

Please note: We're afraid we can't guarantee which vintage you will receive. It'll still be yummy GlenDronach no matter the vintage, mind!

great whisky had to buy why its still readily available

I sampled this whisky back when Billy Walker was on the bottle - Its not these days but will become a dying breed as soon like the Alladice will be replaced soon with an interior chill filtered version - so could not resist putting one in the cupboard for a special tasting night - a rich fantastic quality whisky which upto now is still unchill filtered

    Outperforms the 18 Year

For about five years or so the Glendroach 18 year has been my favorite scotch over many (drank over 5 bottles), including Macallan 18. Since the 18 is rumored to be at least 23 years old, I thought the 21 could not be better, and other reviews said the 18 was better. But, I just decided go see for myself with expectations low. I was blown away. This stuff deserves to be called the nectar of the Gods. It does not feel hot for the high ABV, and is smooth and sweet, and more complex than the 18. The only bad thing is I am now spoiled now.

Top no.1 whisky in this year category

In 21 years old whisky, this is top no.1 in every aspects. Delious and deep in paletes. In fact this is 26 years old whisky, as you already know.

    Good, but not as expected

Good but I think the 18yo is much better. Personally I even prefer the 15yo.

    Outstanding ?

By far my favourite - when I first drank it with a friend we both stopped, looked at each other and went WOOOW! Like no other whisky I’ve tried so far.
