Okay, so I am not a complete expert, but I know what I like. I didn’t start drinking whisky until I was 50, and by then I could afford better bottles. But price can be misleading to say the least, and doesn’t always mean the taste or experience will be it your liking. Sadly this is not a cheap bottle, but it is hugely to my liking. Rich, caramels, deep concentrated flavours, not too woody or dry, just the perfect tipple at the end of a good day. Not for every day at this price, but I wish it was ….not sure I want to continue experimenting - this is IT for my taste buds.
I love my whisky but not the best at describing it, however as this one hasn't had a review I thought I'd try to share - this is one of the best whiskies I own and I own many in this sort of range. It's very smooth and full flavoured, exactly what you'd expect of a whisky of this prestige and age. I'd highly recommend it, the only problem is that you want more and at this price - for most people - it won't be a regular buy. I had mine from a gift voucher that I topped up and really glad I did! If this is out of your range then I also recommend the 15 yr old Revival!
