GlenDronach 26 Year Old 1990 (cask 2973)
A rather indulgent GlenDronach single malt, aged for 26 years in a single Pedro Ximénez Sherry puncheon. It was distilled in June 1990 and bottled in September 2016 as part of their fourteenth batch of single cask bottlings (which have proved to be very popular indeed. A release of 584 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cigar box, Sherried raisins and sultanas, a touch of orange oil.
Palate
Heavy damson and date notes, with more of that citrus appearing. Subtly hints of coffee.
Finish
Peppery oak and rounded chocolate notes.
