This 23 year old GlenDronach was released as part of their fourteenth batch of single cask bottlings (which are always very popular). It was matured in an Oloroso Sherry butt from January 1993 to September 2016, and was bottled with an outturn of 561 bottles.
A rich, juicy nose, packed with raisins, figs and sloe berries. A touch of tobacco, too.
Quite nutty at first (think walnuts and almonds), before giving way to a truck-load of more dried fruit sweetness.
Hints of cedar spice and diced herbs.
