A marvellous addition to the Benchmark series of indie bottlings from Murray McDavid, it's a single malt from Glencadam! Distilled in 2012, this one was matured in an ex-bourbon hogshead, finished in a single first-fill oloroso sherry cask, and bottled after nine years, at a hearty 59.2% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Prunes, dates, and soaked sultanas, with maple syrup and a spicy touch of crushed peppercorns.

Palate: Baked orchard fruits, silky toffee, and oily malt, with nutty, spiced fruit cake building alongside warming oak char.

Finish: Rich coffee with vanilla cream, sweet, dark berries, prickles of peppery heat.
