Cask strength single malt whisky from Glenburgie, distilled in 1995 and filled into a pair of hogshead casks, where it slumbered soundly for 25 years. In 2021, the casks were opened up by independent bottler Signatory, releasing a total outturn of 383 bottles at a strength of 54.7% ABV, for the appropriately named Cask Strength Collection!
Baked apple crumble, dustings of sugar and cinnamon, faint wafts of charred herbs are balanced by sweet berries and cherries.
Roasted malt, butterscotch, caramelised nuts, and prickles of crystalised ginger, with earthen, spiced oak beneath.
Zesty chocolate-dipped citrus, polished wood, a touch of tobacco leaf, and old leather, with sweeter cakey spice.
