A single cask bottling of single malt from the Glenburgie distillery, independently bottled as part of the handsome First Editions range by Hunter Laing. This was distilled in 1998 and aged in a refill hogshead for 18 years until 2016, when it was bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 136 bottles.
Soft malty sweetness, joined by sweet red berries and pinches of baking spices.
Icing sugar, Bounty bars and fresh apple juiciness.
Barley sweets, strawberries and double cream.
A very good dram. Love this expression.
