This was distilled at Glenburgie in August 1988 and it was aged for 22 years in cask 11240 before bottling in January 2011. A release of 236 bottles at natural cask strength. Tasty stuff!
Nose: Hints of soft beeswax with honey sweetness, pepper, salty butter, oak, walnuts, dates, a hint of vanilla.
Palate: Tropical fruit, malt and butterscotch. A little toasted almond, hazelnut and dry oak. Potpourri and a little spice.
Finish: Long and spicy, some sherried sweetness, date and walnut loaf. Butter.
