Glenburgie 10 Year Old 2011 Sherry Cask - Strictly Limited (Càrn Mòr)
A delightful bottling of Glenburgie single malt, distilled in 2011 and matured for a decade in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks! In 2022, the casks were opened by the folks at independent bottler Càrn Mòr, releasing a total of 1,737 bottles for the Strictly Limited collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Soft peach and apricot, layers of caramel and malt with a touch of coffee beneath.
Palate
Juicy sultanas, hints of boozy, jammy berries, honeyed dates. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and warming clove begin to build with a touch of grassy barley.
Finish
Sweet roasted nuts, candied fruits, and lingering toffee sweetness balance spicy oak and prickles of sweet ginger.
