Nose Heather honey, mocha, and dried apricots, with notes of cinnamon butter, red velvet cake, and marzipan.

Palate Dark chocolate, honeycomb, and butterscotch, leading to dried red berries, ginger and damsons.

Finish Poached apples and muscovado sugar.

Lovely Drop
Sherry cask scotch is my thing, and i was slightly disappointed in the Glenallachie 8, (but not the 15), so wasn't too sure what to expect here from a 9, however i should have not have had any worries because it's a lovely drop, slightly on the sweeter side, but it gives the full dose of expected sherry flavours delivered at a 48% abv that's just right for me with a drop of spring water and a 10 minute breathe, as i find cask strength at 54% and above just a tad too high. i'll buy it again.
