Description
This single malt from GlenAllachie spent eight years maturing in ex-Pedro Ximénez hogsheads between 2013 and 2022. After taking on plenty of that splendid sherry character, plus developing a glorious hue, the whisky was independently bottled up by Càrn Mòr, without added colour or chill filtration, for the Strictly Limited collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cinnamon buns, candied nuts, and heaps of baked fruit. Creamy barley and cocoa nestle in the distance.
Palate
Rich chocolate comes to the fore, with caramelised biscuits, sweet marmalade, and spiced raisins.
Finish
More zesty orange peel and fruit cake, with a hint of mocha, and warming winter spice.
