A 2019 addition to the GlenAllachie core range, this 15 year old single malt was treated to a finishing period in sherry casks before bottling. The casks in question were a combination of puncheons and hogsheads that previously held Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherry. Master distiller Billy Walker described this expression as having an "exceptional balance of the distillery’s spirit and the influence of the sherry casks used during maturation." We'd have to agree. This bottle was produced before the range underwent a redesign in 2024.
Peanut brittle, dates and a big scoop of chocolate ice cream.
Walnut, raisin, Christmas spices and fresh ginger.
Coffee, Turkish delight and just a hint of flaky sea salt.

Couldn't fault it
A very smooth finish @ 46% will sip it slowly and enjoy this unique expression . A best after dinner dram and will plan to purchase another very very soon
Taste is a very personal thing, but surely few can argue that this isn't an absolutely delicious and well balanced dram. Notes of dark chocolate, what more could you ask for? This is my go to!
I am new to Glenallachie and the 15 year old is an excellent dram. Very smooth with strong chocolate, coffee flavours coming through for me and a pleasant change from the more peaty whiskeys I have been drinking recently. Looking forward to booking the tour.
I tried this dram at the mash tun in Aberlour recently after visiting the Glenfarclas distillery.. I am a huge Glenfarclas fan ! But I must be honest and say… The GlenAllachie 15 is incredible, probably superior to the Glenfarclas 25… And that’s saying something! I adore Glenfarclas, and still do. But the GlenAllachie 15 is truly something special. So smooth and inviting, great depth of flavour and a very very delightful long finish. It’ similar to the Glenfarclas 71 but with not quite as much depth of flavour and chewiness. A truly fabulous dram ! If you enjoy sherry cask whisky’s and don’t want to spend £1000’s l on something brilliant this is the one ! Absolutely fantastic!
