GlenAllachie 15 Ardgowan

Ardgowan distillery construction started at Bankfoot Farm, Inverkip on 23 October 2023 and to mark this monumental date the brand released Groundbreaker. Master whisky maker Max McFarlane bottled up a sherry butt containing GlenAllachie single malt Scotch whisky that was distilled in 2008 at a cask strength of 56.4% ABV. There are only 414 bottles of this 15-year-old Scotch whisky, so don't hang around.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose Rich and well-aged: candied apple, stewed plums, chocolate brownies and sugared almonds.

Palate Beautifully balanced with notes of heather, pipe tobacco, and very ripe cherries.

Finish Long, complex, and smooth, with dried fruit and more chocolate.
