Intensely flavoursome single malt from the GlenAllachie Distillery here, matured in a Rioja wine barrique and released as part of its Single Cask series. This one was distilled back in 2006 and eventually bottled in 2021 at cask strength – a robust 60.5% ABV. Only 301 bottles were produced.
Rich notes of stewed plums, raspberries, coconut, treacle, and nutmeg.
Layers of heather honey, treacle, and ginger, with red berries, apricots, and almonds.
