GlenAllachie 13 Year Old - The Smooth Operator
The tenth release from Unkiltered Spirits, this 13-year-old from GlenAllachie Distillery spent its final three years luxuriating in an oloroso hogshead, picking up sweetness, spice, and a serious winter-warmer vibe. Bottled at 51% ABV, it manages to feel both indulgent and dangerously drinkable. Hence, 'The Smooth Operator'.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toffee bonbons, dried figs, orange peel, and a gentle waft of baking spice.
Palate
Sticky dates, milk chocolate, and layers of nutty oloroso richness.
Finish
Baklava sweetness and a final flicker of oak.
