Murray McDavid has bottled a delightful 13-year-old GlenAllachie whisky that was distilled back in 2008 and matured in a 500-litre Sherry butt for 11 years before being treated to an interesting cask finish in Murça Tawny Port barriques. It was bottled without filtration or any additional colouring at 62.4% ABV.
Rich tannins prickle through red berry sweetness, dark chocolate, and delicate floral notes.
Creamy vanilla and aromatic baking spices are joined by hints of mocha, caramel, and dried fruit.
Long and with lots of dark fruit and spices.
