12 year old single malt Scotch whisky from GlenAllachie, released in mid-2018 following Billy Walker taking the reins of the distillery in 2017. This expression features whisky matured in Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso and virgin oak casks, resulting in a huge flavour profile of fruit, oak and vanilla. This bottle was produced before the range underwent a redesign in 2024.
Fried banana, almond, cola cubes, freshly cut oak.
Stem ginger and sultana, oily barley and buttery vanilla.
Very slightly chocolatey on the finish.
For £44 you can’t go wrong with this. It’s beautifully balanced and smooth with notes of currants, toffee and fruitcake. Highly recommended.
Blown away by this, stunning for the money .. in my opinion better than the 15yr old. Full of character & flavour. I’d say well worth every penny….

This is one of the greatest malts I have tasted - allowing for preferences. It's a dark, warm full bodied beast with notes of vanilla, chocolate, oak and blackcurrant - very 'round' in flavour and smooth as a baby's bum!
This Whisky is by far my favorite. In my opinion it has a beautiful balance of flavours matched with the perfect sweetness, so moreish.
