We're always glad to see single malt from GlenAllachie! This one was distilled in 2009 and filled into a first fill sherry butt, where it rested for a dozen years, until the folks at Signatory opened up the cask in June 2022. A total of 288 bottles were released for Signatory's Cask Strength Collection, at a robust 64.5% ABV.
Caramelised biscuits, dustings of cinnamon, and heaps of candied nuts, with dried fruits and creamy chocolate.
More cocoa notes with chocolate-coated Brazil nuts and peppery malt followed by juicy raisins and fruit cake spice.
A touch of coffee with rich caramel, dark dried fruits, and candied orange, with a final peppering of sweet spice.

Sensational whisky!!! I’ve had 2 drams so far and they have been amazing. Will be making a further purchase in due course! I would give it 6 stars if I could.
This is the best GlenAllachie Cask Strength I've ever tried. Better than batch 4,6,7 and also 12yo, 15yo or 18yo. The Nose has all you wanted in a sherry bomb, the Finish is smooth and long lasting. It should win Whisky of the year 2022!!
This was powerful! Yes it was cask strength. My whisky colleague always imbibes whisky neat, whereas I always add water. It is certainly not a beverage that I would drink on a daily basis. I. nevertheless, found it to be a delightful experience, and enjoyed the multiplicity of flavours from initial ingestion to the final, and long lasting, after taste. Well worth the price and experience.
