This expression from GlenAllachie's Single Cask range was distilled back in 2008 and matured for 12 years, before being bottled in 2020. It was drawn from a cask that previously held Rioja wine, which has imparted plenty of rich fruit notes to the whisky. 313 bottles were produced.
Honey on toast, Seville orange marmalade and a helping of rich sloe berry warmth.
More red berries (now raspberry and blackberry), with lingering anise and chocolate orange.
Ginger, more honeycomb, a final touch of fresh berry.
